About The Book

This study determines the relationship between Job satisfaction and Performance and Pay of members of the Federal Ministry of Lands Housing and Urban Development (FMLHUD) Nigeria. In order to achieve the objectives of the research management practices used at FMLHUD were discussed; level of pay and performance of staff was investigated by looking into ways the ministry was dealing with the promotion and rewarding of members of its workforce. Various factors of job satisfaction were analysed with respect to demographic factors such as age gender educational background and length of service of employees. Data was collected from a qualitative research using a purposive sample of 15 employees from various departments within the ministry. The respondents participated in interviews conducted by the researcher. Data analysis was conducted using the comparison with the acknowledged literature on the subject. The research established that employees of FMLHUD expressed both satisfaction and dissatisfaction in various management practices at the company as well as general job satisfaction pay and performance. When grouped into two categories younger employees expressed more satisfaction.
