The Lions Of Vindocladia

The hero of the story finds himself miraculously transported back in time to the era of Roman Britain. There he encounters a young man who is in considerable danger although he is unaware of it. Together they enlist the aid of others to defeat the rebellion led by a local chieftain that threatens the peace of Britannia. In the process he meets the love of his life and becomes an adviser to the emperor. Eventually he returns to his own time and there he discovers that his love has passed down the aeons and he finds himself in an echo of his Roman existence. At the end his two existences merge and he meets his friends again.
