Shrivastava retired as University professor of Economic and also earlier as Professor of Economic from the government of Madhya Pradesh College service. He had a first class educational career. He taught in the university and in Madhya Pradesh Government Colleges for about 20 years each. He was the also Dean of Social Science Faculties of the University. Concurrently for three and half years between 1984 and 1987 and he was state bank of India Chair professor also While serving in the University. Dr. Shrivastava wrote lessons for Open Universities papers for journals and newspapers co-authorship books evaluation reports for the government of Madhya Pradesh and DFID UK. He had taken education in two faculties- Commerce and Economics. Dr. Shrivastava was taking classes for the 55th year in continuation in 2011 and the discontinued. He worked as visiting professor in some manangement institutes. He was also appointed Director of MBA institute of the University. Dr. Shrivastava taught Economics between 1957 and 1996 and management papers between 1978 and 2011. Dr. Shrivastava was economic adviser to the Government of Madhya Pradesh for writing its two reports on Human Development.
