The Lord's Prayer in Practice

What you have here is a book about Christian Ethics which may sound daunting but it's not. Christian Ethics is just the technical name for how we live a Christian life. In this case we'll be working your way through the Lord's Prayer. Not many people think about the Lord's Prayer as a guide- it's a prayer.Several years ago as I went through my daily prayers I had a Blazing Glimpse of the Obvious: Jesus said Pray then like this and gave us the Lord's Prayer. Ok says I to myself if that's how Jesus wants me to pray then I guess I had best pray that way. I also began to meditate on what each of the parts of the prayer meant.This book is not technical. Oh sure there are a couple of Greek words here and there but that's just so you get an idea that no matter how it's translated into English we miss something. Don't worry about it; you don't need to know Greek. There are also a couple of interesting historical bits. I find them fascinating but you will have to judge for yourself.
