Born and raised in Coimbatore she has reported extensively from Chennai with career-defining work on the city's fishing community. Her first book Seaside Stories (2023) is a compilation of essays on Chennai's fisherfolk. A mother of two she ventured into children's writing as their primary storyteller and is also working on two novels and a biography of a Dalit leader.</span></p>
