Together with Glinda and the Wizard Dorothy and her pals attempt to free Button-Bright from Ugus fortress. Ugu adjusts the enchantment so that he keeps his human stature and violent personality when Dorothy uses the Magic Belt to transform him into a dove. Ozma returns to the Emerald City after being released from the jail Ugu had placed her in. Days later Ugu requests Dorothys forgiveness for what he did as he flies in to see her but subsequently decides he prefers his new life as a dove.
