The Lost Word: A Christmas Legend of Long Ago

Hermas is a scholar who has spent many years studying the Bible and the history of the church. He has come to believe that Christmas is a pagan holiday that has been Christianized. He also believes that the true meaning of Christmas has been lost.On Christmas Eve Hermas is walking through the forest when he comes across a group of shepherds. The shepherds are singing Christmas carols and preparing for the birth of Christ. Hermas is curious and he joins the shepherds.As the shepherds sing and pray Hermas begins to feel the Christmas spirit. He realizes that the true meaning of Christmas is not about presents or decorations but about the birth of Jesus Christ.
