The LoveTiff

The play revolves around the theme of love and the complications it brings particularly the misunderstandings and humorous conflicts that arise in relationships. The plot centers around two young lovers Lélie and Angélique whose romantic relationship is complicated by their respective families and an overly concerned doctor. Lélie the main character is in love with Angélique but her father has arranged for her to marry another man. Lélie seeks the help of an eccentric doctor who pretends to be a medical expert but is actually more of a quack. His absurd advice and meddling lead to a series of misunderstandings and comedic situations particularly as the characters navigate their desires and the expectations of society. The play explores the dynamics of love trust and social pressures.
