The Loyal and Friendly Society of the Orange and Blew 1733 - 1802

The formation of military societies like the Orange and Blew provided a socially acceptable setting for these gentlemen and occasionally ladies to convene and likely influence decision making within the context of empire building and military campaigns both domestically and internationally.
