The Luckiest Leaf

Every fall one of the special activities for my granddaughter Kaylee and I would be to rake leaves in the yard into a big pile and enjoy jumping in. One of those trees was a large oak tree in the back yard and it would drop what seemed like an endless supply of leaves for us to rake. During one of those times Kaylee said we should write a story about the leaves. We talked about it a little more and before we knew it we''d started the story about Larry the Leaf. As the story developed Kaylee and I took in several directions before we settled on this story.
