He gets out and offers to buy the berries but realizes he has no money. Instead he gives her his lucky Spanish silver coin which he hopes will bring her luck. He tells her to keep the coin safe for him until he returns and promises to give her anything she wants in exchange for it. Will he come back? Is he going to get his lucky charm back? The story is a simple and heartwarming tale about a chance encounter between two children from different backgrounds. The story touches on themes of innocence childhood and the power of objects to hold sentimental value.
