The Magician's Apprentice

The Magicians Apprentice Geordie a young dragon is chosen byMerlin the Wizard to become his apprentice. The story followsGeordie through his first few months of training in mixing healingpotions for the villagers and developing his magic ability underthe watchful eye of Merlin. One morning Merlin tells Geordie thathe has to go away to help a friend fight a Dark Wizard who istrying to take his kingdom. Geordie is to be left in charge of therunning of the castle and village while Merlin is away. Geordiesoon masters the ordinary day to day stuff and finds he has plentyof time to teach himself to fly and improve his magic skills. Thetale gets darker with the return of a defeated Merlin closelyfollowed by the Dark Wizard his Demon and a mighty army who tryand storm the castle. Merlin is captured by the Dark Wizard and allGeordie?s magic skills and courage are put to the test when he isforced to become Merlin?s Champion and fight a duel to the deathwith the Demon.
