The Man behind the Badge

<p>Throughout LeRoy Green’s childhood and adulthood he would endure pain suffering disrespect and abuse. He would spend his early adulthood pursuing the world and giving himself over to alcohol partying clubbing and drugs. Had he not turned his life over to Christ to guide his footsteps thoughts and decisions LeRoy knows he would have a different story to tell.  </p><p>Beginning his police life as a detention deputy working in a jail LeRoy faced racism injustice and a system that worked against him. However through hard work and—most importantly—through relying on God LeRoy would work his way up over the years to become the first African American sheriff in Kansas. God would also open the door for LeRoy to travel all around the United States and abroad. </p><p>LeRoy firmly believes that if God had not been standing by his side he would have given up early in his life. But God was right there beside him helping him walk through his circumstances decisions and the challenges he would face throughout his years.</p>
