Boko Haram has since 2009 besieged North East states of Nigeria mostly Borno Adamawa and Yobe with unprecedented violence targeted at civilian population security outfits and places of religious worships among other institutions; killing over 20000 people and over 2 million displaced. This research examines in particular the management of BH induced IDPs in Abuja owing to their peculiar and inherent challenges. It discovers that IDPs in Abuja are not properly managed and protected as a result of identified gaps such as inadequate legal and policy provisions institutional and capacity deficiency; and lack of political will to tackle their problems. The research submits that prolonged BH crisis exacerbate the humanitarian crisis confronting IDPs in the country.
