The mandate of the President of the Republic in Senegal

This work is a contribution to the complex debate on the duration and limitation of the mandate of the President of the Republic in Senegal. In Senegal it should be noted that the quest for one mandate too many was the trigger for democratic changes.The first part addresses constitutional reforms and revisions of laws relating to the duration and limitation of mandates.The second part is a reminder of the opinions and political positions of legal specialists on the duration of the mandate and its limitation.The third part addresses political ethics and transhumance while recalling the controversial positions of men (political legal) who have renounced themselves.The author recalls here the former presidents that Senegal has known as well as the errors and mistakes noted in the quest for a controversial mandate rejected by the people. A situation which has led to splits departures and breakdowns of companionship within political parties.
