The Manger

The Manger. The most talked about birth throughout the ages... and they laid him in a manger. We imagine they stayed in a stable; or perhaps they stayed in a cave but there is no mention of a stable or a cave in God's Word only the manger. Did God forget to make reservations at the Inn? What if God intentionallly planned for his son to be placed in a manger? What if he didn't leave out any important details? What if he was teaching significance - not only during the life of Christ - but for each one of us every single day? Perhaps just perhaps God was painting a picture; a graphic visual aid to give us direction and wisdom in our lives. God's people portrayed extreme passion in all they did. The gift of a man and woman passionately uniting as one in marriage fulfilled God's perfect plan. If we fail to understand their passion for one another we miss the passion God feels for us.
