<p>When power failed and roads drowned Dr Sarvadaman Mishra showed up. At a camp in Bundi when a blackout hit he treated hundreds through the night by lantern light. In Hapur he dug a seventy-five metre pit that held a full monsoon. During the Bhopal gas tragedy he and his daughters cared for the stricken as poisoned air filled the wards.
