The Martyrdom

<p>THE MARTYRDOM: Th e Revenge of Art 1992-1994</p><p>was written in early nineteen-nineties. It is a Surrealist poem</p><p>with modern text with projective verse made up words and</p><p>words made of capitals and small letters. It also had traditional</p><p>verse. It is the story of Julietta and Sebastian as well as Godriella</p><p>Tarketa Xlara. Th ere are six completed portions and two</p><p>unfi nished. Th e fi ctional Communist Left and its 13th President</p><p>FiLMer MiNerd in the State of New Jerzip are confronted</p><p>by DeMORePs. Originally a computer poem in BASIC with</p><p>sound. Here only the text is printed.</p><p><br></p><p>STEPHEN SWEIGART has been writing poetry books for</p><p>50 years. He has worked at various jobs primarily at a large</p><p>distributor for 60 years. He has lived in same house since</p><p>1985 near Philadelphia in New Jersey. He works part time</p><p>still though a senior citizen. He is an audiophile gardener and</p><p>studied cclassical piano at Temple and Rutgers Universities. He</p><p>has a BA in English from Temple University. He has traveled</p><p>oft en to Europe. He has also studied Psychiatry at Xavier and</p><p>University of Pennsylvania.</p>
