THE MELANCHOLIC TALES OF A HALF ORPHAN

This book is an amalgam of poetry and prose describing the pain, agony and hope. Through this book, a tragedy that has taken the life of Maria and her siblings on a roller coaster ride is plated before our readers to have an insight into the social negligence that turns uglier when taken for granted on the other hand, this book has also an endorsement of hope in it that authenticates that ‘Every cloud has a silver lining’.   This book is a platform to highlight the dismal and desolation of a child who has lost a mother. Besides, this book also is a tribute to the unsung heroes of our society. Mother is a bridge between up and down of a child and losing her exposes the child to every calamity.This book is simultaneously showcasing the Kashmiri culture and typical life style,too. Besides this the book aims to influx the minds of our readers with the beautiful images of the bewitching beauty of the Valley of Lolab.This book would not be completely satiating for me if I don’t pay my sincere gratitude to the main character of this story “Maria”. Had she not been kind to narrate the tragedy it would not be put up here. Moreover, Notion Press has always been a beam of light for the writers like me to accomplish their dreams of writing.
