This book on the surface appears to be a book of poetry but it isnt. It is a book of instruction and destruction. First it tears down the faltering sham that claims to be contemporary/postmodern poetry. Then it builds a literature and a poetry that the reader controls. This book is no less than a religious epic for anyone who believes in the power of literature whether it be romance novels or magazine articles. The best thing about The Mercy Killing is that it is not finished. As long as the reader wants it to continue the narrative continues to grow. Every time its read it changes. Very few books throughout history have offered this tremendous advantage to readers. None will ever do it again.
