At 22 years of age Captain Carranza was considered The Mexican Lindbergh for his long-distance flights. Not only was he a pilot but also a military man. In 1928 Captain Carranza set his goals in the The Goodwill Flight. Once completed his flight from Mexico City to Washington DC the young wouldn't fly back in the middle of a bad storm if it wasn't for a telegram from General Amaro ordering to go back to Mexico immediately. His plane crashed shortly after he departed. Thanks to the Legion Post of Mount Holly NJ every first weekend of July there's a ceremony in memory of The Mexican Lindbergh.
