THE MIDNIGHT ENVOY

In 1989 the town of Seven Devils held its breath. On a hill of sand and shadows stood the Whispering Mansion its shattered windows and dead pines whispering secrets no one dared speak aloud. They said a ghost wandered there—a woman draped in a bloodstained white saree her wild grey hair hiding a face long forgotten. One night as thieves attacked a traveler near the mansion a voice thundered from the dark: “Leave him... or die.” The ghost appeared—and the screams still echo.
