The Minicoy Miracle

The orphanage on Minicoy Island on the Lakshadweep archipelago was home to many little girls. The cruel Madam Cankerly ran the orphanage with an iron fist. Pari the oldest of the girls was twelve brave and independent. She was determined to find a better life for her friends and herself. One night Pari made up her mind to leave the island to find help. Unnoticed she went aboard a ship. She was frightened by a strange discovery on the ship. Was Pari in danger? Where was the ship headed? Will Pari find help and return safely? Lets find out! For children 8+ years of age. About the Author: Nishka Kulkarni is a debutant author living in Pune India and studying in grade 5. She loves reading sketching poetry and playing the guitar. She is passionate about writing and brings interesting stories and characters to life with her vivid imagination.
