Why are there so many unanswered prayers in the world today (sometimes taken as a no) if the answer to prayer is so positively promised in the Bible? The Bible teaches us that specific circumstances must be present for prayers to be answered. Christ discussed having confidence being persistent praying in the name of God and praying according to His will. All of these requirements however were condensed into a single overarching dictum: If ye abide in me and my words abide in you ye shall ask what ye will and it will be done unto you. It becomes obvious that one's life determines one's ability to pray an effective prayer of faith.
