‘The Mumbai Monsoon' is the story of three women from different walks of life as they navigate dreams, desires and hardships. Ruby, a 20-year-old prostitute is tired of selling her body every night to the horny men of Delhi. She embarks on a journey to find an alternate career and respect. Ayesha, a leading Bollywood actress is blessed with all the luxuries and fame. Stuck in a marriage that's hard to end and even harder to stay in, the actress struggles to live a happy life. Simi, a happy-go-lucky Punjabi girl meets a man in an arranged setup. With a dreamy wedding, new life in the city of dreams and motherhood, she has got it all. But a happily-ever-after that she always saw in movies seems to be a far-fetched dream. The inevitable monsoon in Mumbai brings the three strangers together as they deal with a bigger storm that lies ahead of them.
