His father Bahaudin-walad the most prestigious scholar of Khurasan decided to leave Balkh and move to Konya Turkey just before the Mongolian invasion of Islamic countries in 1221 AD.<p>The story begins with Jalaludin's childhood when he was joyfully playing with his friends in the reed beds in the city of Balkh and continues until he meets Shams Tabrizi and a young girl by name of Kimia the two people that Jalaludin was deeply touched and inspired by to think differently.
