<p>Amateur detective Elena Crawford is swept into a new mystery when young soccer star Mark Evans mysteriously goes missing. But there is no definite proof that Mark has been kidnapped and stranger yet there has been no ransom demand. Everything suggests that Mark simply vanished. Unconvinced this is the case Elena sets out to find the missing man before his - and his club's reputation - is tarnished forever.</p><p>Guided by only a name the sleuth soon finds herself getting embroiled deeper and deeper in the mystery the more she tries to find answers. An assailant breaks the window of the Crawford house to scare her off the case. A mysterious deity that has been haunting Mark's ancestral home for nearly a century suddenly shows up using technology eerily similar to an abandoned federal project.</p><p>What is the connection? And more importantly: will Elena manage to solve the case before she ends up like the unfortunate man who took a blow aimed at her?</p>
