The Narrow Sea

<p>The story chronicles Mungo Shaw’s coming of age.  Born and raised in 18<sup>th</sup> Century Ayrshire he was well-educated and in line to inherit the family farm yet he went off to sea.</p><p>He quickly became a talented seaman but his readiness to take risks drove him into hazardous situations.</p><p>In those lawless and violent days how would Mungo prosper or indeed how long could he survive?</p>
