THE NATURAL TOPOLOGY OF CHEMICAL CLUSTERS

About The Book

During the study of chemical clusters it has been found that skeletal numbers are extremely important in analysing chemical clusters. The cluster formula is decomposed into a single integer using skeletal numbers the result is the K(n) parameter which can be used to extract cluster valence electrons (VE) from clusters. This is done by using equations based on 14N /12N double capping series or 18n series or simply 14n series. The K(n) parameter is also extremely useful in constructing isomeric structures of clusters in this regard the K can be decomposed into a formula K = n + t where n is the number of skeletal elements which represent an n sided figure and t represents the number of lines or triangles that can be constructed within that figure. When such figures are well constructed the isomeric figure of the cluster can be derived therefrom. We can simply call it the geometrical structure and the corresponding cluster formula conform to the concept Goodness of fit.
