The Need of New Water Politics

There has been little advancement in the development of applicable and effective frameworks for realistic international water cooperation in the past decades. Approximately 40% of the global population lives in transboundary water basins and growing threats emphasize the urgent need for collaborated management. The reality of global change calls for innovative “Hydro-Diplomacy” aimed at strengthening international collaboration for climate change adaptation under the framework of regional security and win-win politics. This book examines the current problems in light of “Innovative Hydro-Diplomacy ” approach with the aim of promoting cooperation among the riparian.I also emphasize some cases from Aral sea to Dead sea as wrong water management examples that now requires serious international collaboration to recover. Therefore this study can be more useful for water resource managers academics experts as well as decision makers and politicians concerning Transboundary Rivers.
