<p>A native of Baltimore Maryland Peggy Seeney Caranda is an artist illustrator and author living in Owings Mills Maryland.&nbsp;She has been recognized for her talent by the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Alpha Zeta Chapter as Woman of the Year in the Arts 2000.&nbsp;She was Chairperson and coordinator for Girl Scouts for the Baltimore Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc.&nbsp;In addition to a degree in Fine Arts from Morgan State University she holds a Master's degree from Loyola University in Occupational Guidance and Counseling.&nbsp;Peggy Seeney Caranda is currently Chief Executive Officer of Seeney Fine Art Gallery Books for Young Readers.&nbsp;Most recently the artist was featured in the exhibition Expanding Circles: Family Friends and Community at the Delaware Center for the Contemporary Arts in Wilmington Delaware. Her paintings THE PUMPKIN MARKET and THE GATHERING OF WOMEN are a part of a collection at The Christina Cultural Arts Center and Kuumba Kids Academy in Wilmington Delaware. Currently the artist is featured in the exhibition MARCH TO VICTORY commemorating the civil rights movement in the James and Brenda Hamlin Gallery at The Avenue Bakery on historic Pennsylvania Avenue in Baltimore Maryland. The JAZZ ON THE AVENUE-LEGACY IN BLACK &amp; WHITE series are reverse glass painting collages learned from the artists in Senegal Africa is on display at the Congressman Parren J. Mitchell Mansion on historic Lafayette Square.</p>
