The New Atlantis

The author's thoughts and vision for the scientific paradise are described in Francis Bacon's book The New Atlantis. In this tale sailors who are lost off the coast of Peru eventually find Bensalem through a process of discovery. The emphasis shifts as the explorers reach at Bensalem to its university Salomon's House from the story's sparse beginning portions. The populace is encouraged to be intellectually curious there is a university called Salomon's House where sciences are studied and developed and there is a strong sense of religious piety shared by all. These are only a few of the values that are promoted.
