The Nothing Girl

<p>Held captive in a dark basement as a child only released as entertainment for her step-fathers drunken parties The Nothing Girl manages to survive by emersing herself into the books that fill the basement prison. When she is finally rescued as a teen her only understanding of the world is the abuse and neglect she suffered and the fictional stories she read. With new challenges from her peers The Nothing Girl must learn to cope with an all new form of abuse. With no socialization in her youth she uses the fictional stories she read to frame her understanding of the world around her. In time she develops gifts - gifts that no one ever told her she shouldn't have.</p>
