About the Book: We all work and so some of our illnesses could be work-related. Work workplace and working conditions all make up for the term work-related. It is important for the reader to be aware of anything that can harm their health and think of steps they can take to minimize the harm. It is good to keep in mind that no work is safe it has to be made as safe as possible. Readers should also have realistic expectations as no work is absolutely safe for health - the risks to health due to work workplace or working conditions can be made ALARP (as low as reasonably practicable). About the Author: Dr Ajay Sati is a medical graduate of Grant Medical College & Sir J.J Group of Hospitals Mumbai. He has post-graduate in Industrial Medicine from College of Physicians and Surgeons Mumbai. He has also done online diplomas in workplace safety & health and occupational hygiene. He has rich experience of working in govt. Indian MNCs and MNCs both in India and abroad. He was lucky to have advised billion-dollars brownfield and greenfield projects in India and abroad in employee wellness and health including Occupational Health and Social Health. He also has experience of setting up basic health infrastructure especially in remote locations and online medical consultations since 1994 while working as Medical Officer In-charge in the oilfields of Oman. He is currently based in Mumbai. He has presented wellness and Occupational Health thoughts in forums like Central Labor Institute International Labor Organization IIT-Bombay various offices schools etc. He is Member of Indian Association of Occupational Health (India) Member of International Commission on Occupational Health (Italy) and Member of Royal Society of Public Health (UK) He is a Rotarian.
