About the SeriesThis a childrens chapter book that follows Charlie and Baxter an eight-year-old sister and ten-year-old brother who discover a time-traveling robot named Odyssey in their basement. By commanding Odyssey through a programming language Charlie and Baxter travel through different historical times to help significant historical events occur.Purpose of SeriesThe purpose and goal of this series are to expose children to programming at an early age to represent African American children in a time-travel fantasy share historical events and to teach lessons about problem-solving being courageous and never giving up.Synopsis of book #1Where did the robot come from? Before Charlie and Baxter can find out they travel back in time to help Henry Box Brown escape from slavery.
