The Old Curiosity Shop

This novel was written by Charles Dickens and published in 1841 post which there were public demonstrations against the author for having dealt with the main protagonist's character in a manner that was not favorable to the public's taste at the time. The story follows the lonely existence of beautiful and virtuous Nell Trent who lives with her grandfather in his antique shop.
