The One Way Bridge

In The One Way Bridge S I Gordon recounts the escapades of a young lad Si who lives in the popular village of Birchwood with his mother and father and plenty of tourists. The story begins with a nail-biting chase through the back alleys of the village where Si is being pursued by some boys from his previous school. He escapes and eagerly anticipates the weekend when he can venture to the other side of Pine Wood and the one way bridge. Si’s zest for adventure is contagious and the fantasy world he ventures into with his friend “M” is a marvellous escape from reality for the reader. Written as only a grandfather can when telling a tale the One Way Bridge is a compelling read for all ages.
