The One Woman

The narrative reflects the cultural tensions of early 20th-century America.</p><p>Thomas F. Dixon Jr. (1864-1946) was an American Baptist minister playwright lecturer North Carolina state legislator lawyer and author. He is perhaps best known for writing The Clansman which was the inspiration for the film Birth of a Nation.</p>
