<p>On a Friday just before lunch Randy set out with his mom Barb to find the help she needed. What followed was a year-long odyssey through the tangled terrain of eldercare where brunch arrived courtesy of a muse scented like rainbows Iditarod coins were mined from borrowed purses and rebellion brewed inside the halls of Los Prados Verdes Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation. Along the way a hideous dress made its move-and was repeatedly rebuffed.</p><p><em>The Outback Diaries</em> is an unfiltered account of caregiving: absurd exhausting and unexpectedly funny.
