The parturient companion's experience of the birth process

The choice of topic for this research came from my professional experience which instigated me to learn more about the perception of the birth companion. This person who so long after the implementation of Law No. 11.108 of 2005 is still looking for ways to have their role with the parturient recognized. I hope that this reading will promote reflection on the inclusion of family members in all stages of the care process.
