Corporate ambition goes beyond the realm of greed for wealth. The hunger for power drives the motivation to control and expand their domains. This happens both at executive and ownership levels in big conglomerates even in those which the public hold in the highest esteem for probity in business conduct. The ambition to rule at times makes some of them cross the line of probity leading to dishonorable unethical or even criminal activities on the pretext of end justifying the means. While majority of corporate politics remains hidden some spill over in public domain making one speculate about the mystery behind the events especially when they remain unexplained trivialized glossed over or successfully hushed up. This is a speculative and fictitious story of one such conglomerate. As the events unfold they seem incongruent with their exalted image which has been meticulously developed over a century. A former employee finds himself unwittingly getting embroiled in solving the mystery behind the publicly known but seemingly unconnected events.
