About The Book

THE PIECES OF ME is about events in Bobbes life from college to 2 years before her death. She wrote about her grandchildren the feelings she had when I would leave for deployment overseas and my homecoming. The poem OUR NATIONS CAPITAL was written after we returned from a weeks visit to Washington DC with our 2 oldest grandsons. The poem THE PIECES OF ME reflects the information about her ancestors.Bobbe was a Navy wife mother of 4 and grandmother to 7. She suffered from Parkinsons Disease which eventually took her life. She also suffered from kidney & breast cancer. The kidney cancer was cured & the breast cancer was in remission. Bobbe did not let these health issues get her down. She had a big sign in her home office that read DONT TELL GOD HOW BIG YOUR STORM IS TELL YOUR STORM HOW BIG YOUR GOD IS. In retirement Bobbe wrote poetry about events in her life did genealogy was president of the local chapter of The American Parkinsons Disease Association and organized the first Parkinsons Disease Walk in Virginia Beach VA.
