When Little Wolf meets Foxy he is upset by the way Foxy acts. As Little Wolf gets to know Foxy better he learns that sometimes those we meet experience and relate to the world differently than we are used to.The Pine Cone celebrates neurodiversity and highlights the power of friendship and understanding. Inspired by an article written by a local mom this book addresses behaviours related to autism and similar types of neurodivergence.The Pine Cone is part of The Woodland Family series which focuses on tough topics such as adoption illness and death. Through language that is appropriate for young children and with great sensitivity these underrepresented topics are explored through families of woodland creatures.A portion of the proceeds from each copy sold will be donated to Quickstart Early Intervention for Autism.
