The Pit and the Pendulum

In one of Edgar Allan Poe's most well-known short tales prepare for genuine terror.We peer into the psyche of a Spanish Inquisition prisoner. He starts to use his hands to feel his way around the dark dank jail cell. Later as some light begins to penetrate the space he finds two things: a deep and perilous pit in the centre into which he nearly fell while exploring the cell without looking and a pendulum that resembles a scythe suspended from the ceiling and swinging back and forth with his body as its target. You will sense his fear.
