Valerie Dubois loses her credit cards passport and driver license to a purse snatcher. Her stolen identity takes on a life of its own when the credit card companies and the police prove inept in catching the thieves and relieving her mounting card debts. Her success in making contact with a huge identity theft ring brings her closer to clearing her name and introduces her to an unexpected romance.
