<p>The rescue people came and took Freddy. The sick old man waved as the grey parrot shook his red tail feathers to say goodbye and gave one last little Hoot. He saw Otis wipe away a tear as the door closed on their twenty-one year friendship.</p><p>When Otis became sick Freddy became bored. Short on toys and attention he did the only thing he knew to keep busy; he plucked his feathers.
