Numerous scholarly observations on the system of proper nouns in Bunin's narratives point to the need for a focused and generalized study of the noun system in the writer's work not only from a linguistic point of view but also with a view to accessing the layered depths of the author's poetics shaped by his historiosophical religious literary aesthetic and socio-political views. As a result of the work carried out conclusions were drawn to the effect that a proper noun in Bunin's prose is capable on the one hand of somehow attracting and combining formal and substantial intra-textual elements of a literary text thus creating new content and on the other it opens up access to the wider cultural field saturating the author's text with intertexts thus generating new meanings.
