<p>The series begins in 1949.  Jerry and his family move from the city Cortland to the home converted from an old dance hall right under the thundering waterfall at Delphi Falls.  Along with his friends Jerry camped on top of the cliffs and studied the beavers building their dams when they weren't in school. It was times in the shadows of World War Two - with the very same kids who lived through a war that killed more than eighty million lives wordwide.</p>
