The book deals with the topic of verbal violence by teachers and its effects on the well-being of learners. In particular communicative teacher-student interactions are analysed and related to theoretical concepts of communication well-being and the emergence of violence in schools. Written student surveys and expert interviews form the basis of the research. It shows that verbal abuse by teachers has a direct impact on among other things motivation to learn the classroom atmosphere and the emergence of violence in schools. Solutions and possible measures for reducing verbal abuse by teachers are described.
