The Power of Three

<p>Something wicked this way comes.</p><p><br></p><p>A year-old murder of a retired senior police officer on a Northumberland beach remains open yet life in the nearby seaside village is beginning to get back to normal and rehearsals are going ahead for a Halloween performance of Macbeth at Cresswell Pele Tower.</p><p><br></p><p>Still reeling from the collapse of his marriage DCI James Massey is given three spooky prophesies by three raucous women at a charity rugby match after-party. Immediately the first prophesy comes true when he comes face-to-face with an episode from his past he'd far rather forget. Fiercely protective of her boss DS Christine Sparks suspects he's being set up.</p><p><br></p><p>Then another murder throws up links with the first and the second prophesy comes true. With all sorts of weirdness beginning to emerge Massey and Sparks realise that nothing is as it seems.</p><p><br></p><p>But it's the third prophesy that concerns them the most. The one that predicted Massey's <em>death</em> before next the moon wanes.</p>
